APL nextED provides a solution for faculty compensation calculations with a new feature
FREMONT, CA: Educational technology is critical in the classroom because it enables today's teachers to combine new technologies and applications. Teachers can enhance and improve their classroom's learner-centeredness. It empowers educators to engage kids in novel, innovative, and equitable ways. APL nextED, the market leader in Academic Operations Platforms for higher education institutions, has come up with an advanced gross compensation calculation feature for faculty pay processing. Compensation is another aspect of the APL platform that assists academic leaders in centralizing and standardizing their operations. APL clients can define criteria specific to faculty compensation to calculate gross pay, which is frequently impossible with traditional payroll systems. Additionally, the APL platform can be fully integrated with an institution's human resources and payroll systems.
“Our ability to follow faculty from onboarding through credentialing, to scheduling and, finally, compensation within the APL nextED platform creates a new level of visibility and confidence,” comments Carolyn Nordstrom, VP of Faculty and Academic Resources at Purdue University Global Campus. “This is especially critical with managing a large adjunct group. Higher data accuracy due to integrated functionality expedites decisions. All of this encourages more and better communication which, in the end, is really the silver bullet.”
Calculating gross faculty compensation has historically been a time-consuming procedure for institutional staff and administrators due to the institution's unique pay structures, which are frequently based on characteristics such as tenure, enrolment, and amount of expertise. APL's latest innovation enables institutions to tailor compensation computations to their specific needs.
"APL is excited to offer this new feature which creates greater transparency around faculty pay calculations," states Kathleen Gibson, CEO, and Founder of APL nextED. "This feature standardizes full-time and part-time faculty pay calculations across departments and colleges and provides important data insights for achieving diversity and inclusion goals around compensation."
